A fast and flavorful dinner featuring ground beef in a sticky Mongolian sauce tossed with noodles and garlic — ready in under 30 minutes.
1 lb lean ground beef
8 oz lo mein, spaghetti, or ramen noodles
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
2 green onions, sliced
1 tbsp oil (vegetable or sesame)
For the Sauce
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup beef broth or water
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp sesame oil (optional)
Red pepper flakes, to taste
Cook noodles according to package. Drain and set aside.
Brown ground beef in skillet. Drain fat. Add garlic and ginger; sauté 1 minute.
Whisk together sauce ingredients. Add to beef and simmer 2–3 minutes until thick.
Add noodles and toss to coat. Stir in green onions.
Serve hot with desired toppings.
