This rich and savory beef and broccoli stir fry sauce is made with soy sauce, oyster sauce, garlic, ginger, and a touch of sweetness. Thickened with cornstarch and perfect for coating beef, broccoli, or noodles.
¼ cup soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp hoisin sauce (optional)
1 tbsp brown sugar or honey
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
2 tsp cornstarch
2 tbsp water (for slurry)
1 tsp sesame oil (added at the end)
Optional: 1 tsp rice vinegar, chili flakes
In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch with water until smooth.
In a separate bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and optional vinegar.
Stir in the slurry.
Pour sauce over cooked beef and broccoli in a hot skillet.
Simmer for 1–2 minutes until thickened.
Stir in sesame oil before serving.
Great for chicken, tofu, or veggie stir fry too.
Adjust spice level with chili flakes or sriracha.
Store extra sauce in the fridge up to 1 week.
